Port Hurricane Condition Five

December 1st marked the end the 2016 Hurricane season. The Captain of the Port has set Port Hurricane Condition V.

Port interests should use the off-season to verify their plans are up-to-date and ready for execution before the start of the 2017 season. Several important documents and links are available on this page of the JMTX website. This includes the Coast Guard Sector Jacksonville Heavy Weather Plan. The full plan is recommended reading for our port interests. At a minimum, port interests should be very familiar with Chapter 3 of the plan that addresses Port Preparedness and Post Storm Actions. This extract includes the specific actions that port interests must complete during each change of Port Hurricane Condition. Port interests should also be familiar with Annex F – Vessel Sortie Guidelines, Annex H – The remain in Port request form and Annex N Post Storm Condition Reporting form.

JMTX 2016 Golf Tournament (Updated)

Thank you to all who joined us!

The 2016 Jacksonville Maritime Classic was a huge success. We enjoyed great weather and had a fantastic time at the St. Johns Golf & Country Club. Congratulations to our 1st place team from the Jacksonville/Fernandina Pilot Association (Joe Brown, Sean Brown, Jeff Ritter and Chip Drobnie). Also, congrats to Joe Brown who also won our grand prize challenge by placing his tee shot within inches of the hole. Joe walked away with our grand prize; a 96 qt. Yeti Cooler.

Our committee is working on our 2017 event and we hope you will join us again.
